  • Σε μια λιτή και σεμνή τελετή, όπου περίσσεψε όμως η συγκίνηση, ο σεβασμός και η αγάπη, ο Δήμος Κορινθίων τίμησε δύο σημαντικές προσωπικότητες της αυτοδιοίκησης: τους πρώην Δημάρχους Ασσου Λεχαίου, Γιώργο Πίσκοπο και Χαράλαμπο Καμπούρη.

Σε μια κατάμεστη από κόσμο αίθουσα ο οικοδεσπότης της βραδιάς, δήμαρχος Κορινθίων, Νίκος Σταυρέλης, που είχε και την ιδέα για την βράβευση εξήγησε γιατί έλαβε την απόφαση αυτή, υπενθυμίζοντας πως «όταν θες να τιμήσεις έναν άνθρωπο, πρέπει να το κάνεις όταν αυτός είναι εν ζωή, για να μπορεί να λάβει το αντίδωρο της αγάπης των συνανθρώπων του».

Για τους δύο αυτοδιοικητικούς μίλησε ο τέως δήμαρχος Τενέας και τέως πρόεδρος του Δημοτικού Συμβουλίου, Χρήστος Χασικίδης, σήμερα διευθυντής της Καρδιολογικής Κλινικής του ΓΝ Κορίνθου, ο οποίος αναφέρθηκε στην προσφορά τους και στα έργα που επιτέλεσαν, έκανε, όμως, και μνεία στην σημασία της αυτοδιοίκησης για την ποιότητα της ζωής των πολιτών.

Το παρών έδωσε πλήθος κόσμου, κυρίως από την Δημοτική Ενότητα Άσσου Λεχαίου, εργαζόμενοι του δήμου Κορινθίων (και παλαιότερα στον Δήμο Άσσου Λεχαίου) στις Τεχνικές και Οικονομικές Υπηρεσίες που συνεργάστηκαν με τους τέως δημάρχους αλλά και:

  • οι δήμαρχοι Σικυωνιων, Σπύρος Σταματόπουλος, και Λουτρακίου-Περαχώρας και Αγίων Θεοδώρων, Γιώργος Γκιώνης,
  • η βουλεύτρια Μαριλένα Σούκουλη, που έχει συνεργαστεί ως στέλεχος της παλιάς Τοπικής Ένωσης Δήμων και Κοινοτητων Κορινθίας (ΤΕΔΚ) και με τους δύο τιμώμενους.
  • οι επικεφαλής των παρατάξεων της μειοψηφίας στο δημοτικό συμβούλιο, Βασίλης Νανόπουλος και Δημήτρης Πρωτοπαπάς, οι οποίοι ψήφισαν (όπως και ο Αλέξανδρος Γκουργιώτης) την απόφαση για την βράβευση
  • αντιδήμαρχοι, ο πρόεδρος και μέλη του δημοτικού συμβουλίου
  • παλιά και νέα στελέχη της Τοπικής Αυτοδιοίκησης

Μήνυμα έστειλαν προς τον δήμαρχο οι δύο κορίνθιοι υπουργοί, Χρίστος Δήμας και Νίκος Ταγαράς.

Η εκδήλωση έκλεισε με τις χορωδίες του 2ου και 6ου ΚΑΠΗ Κορίνθου, αλλά και το ΚΑΠΗ Περιγιαλίου να αφιερώνουν τρία τραγούδια στα τιμώμενα πρόσωπα, υπό την καθοδήγηση του μαέστρου Μάκη Ψαραδέλλη.
